Worship Services are Sundays at 8:15 and 10:30 AM. Sunday School is 9:30 AM
Travis Helm will be with us this coming Sunday to give an update on the Ministry of Gospel for Asia. Travis and Lisa from our Greenvillage Church of God work in the US headquarters offices of Gospel for Asia. Gospel for Asia provides support for national pastors and evangelists in countries of Asia. Travis will be sharing in both of our morning worship services.
We invite children in our community to join us for our Vacation Bible School, Saturday and Sunday, July 28-29. Our format will be a bit different this year. We will begin on Saturday morning, July 28 at 9:00, and conclude at 2:30 that afternoon. On Sunday morning, we will have a celebration service at 9:30, followed by a Picnic Lunch. Watch for more details.
We want to recognize and honor 2012 graduates during our morning worship services on June 3. Graduation is a significant milestone in anyone's life and should be recognized. We are looking for information about any graduates who are connected to our congregation, so that we can include them in this special recognition. If you have a graduate in your family, would you please give information about your graduate to Pastor Mark, or Marge Lajoie. Please include name of the graduate, your name, school, degree, special honors, and any future plans.
We will host staff and residents of the Hagerstown Rescue Mission for a picnic on Sunday, June 10, beginning at 4:30 PM. After a picnic supper, we will gather for a time of worship and testimonies, led by the staff of the Rescue Mission. The Hagerstown Rescue Mission (now known as the Hope Center at the Hagerstown Rescue Mission) began ministering in 1955. They are a homeless shelter, providing a place to stay and meals for thousands each year. But they provide much more than that. They present the life changing message of the gospel of Jesus Christ and biblical instruction for those whose lives are broken by sin and bad choices. We invite you to come out and join us for this special evening of giving witness to Jesus for His great love and power. If you are able to bring picnic food to share, that would be great, but not necessary. For more information, call the Church office, (301) 241-3050.
We invite you to join us in worship this coming Sunday (May 13). We will be hearing a ministry update from Travis Helm, who serves with Gospel for Asia, and Pastor Mark will be preaching on "Waiting on God." Click here to read more about our service this Sunday.
Through the years, quite a few people have predicted the return of Jesus at a specific time. Just last year an American radio preacher stirred up the interest of the mainstream media with his prediction that Jesus would return on May 21, 2011.
